School Programs
We ask that each station have 20–25 students with one adult per group. We can have up to four stations going at one time for each school group.
The four stations are:
- The nature center, we have interactive exhibits for the children as well as a live snake.
- The classroom where the main objectives of the field trips will be taught.
- A nature hike incorporating some of the lesson plan objectives.
- A nature-related game often correlated to the lesson.
- Lessons can be personalized to fit your classroom needs. Please allow for two weeks to plan if you are requesting a new program.
The fee is $2.00 per student for groups of 15 and over or $30 for two hours for groups with fewer than 15 students. This money goes to the OWLS, a nonprofit friends group of the park supporting environmental education programs. School groups can obtain a fee waiver for their buses to enter the park. This only affects the entrance fees not the program fees.
