Present: Dale Johnson, Cheryl Vine, Ted Nelson, Mark Nelson, Jan Dalbec and Roger LeTourneau.

Meeting called to order 1:00 p.m. at ECE.

Election of Secretary – Jan Dalbec and Cheryl Vine

Motion to approve minutes of Nov. 8, 2007 meeting by Roger, second by Cheryl. . Carried.

Village powers documentation will be needed for next meeting to be held at the Superior Town Hall on January 9, 2007 – 1:00 with Mike from NWRP.

Minutes to be posted on Web site and available at Town Board Meetings.

Information distributed which will appear in the Town newsletter regarding concert and request for CLUP participation.

Review handouts from previous meeting:

Timeline, Public participation Plan, Process discussion, Plan Element guidelines, Issues Identification and SWOT worksheets.
Review survey results will be distributed as defined from the county plan. NWRP will have available by township.

Minute distribution email discussed for receiving. Appears that the only person on committee to receive from Jan’s email was Roger. Ted may have received. Will work on electronic distribution as well as hard copy.

Plans from other towns were discussed. Jan will have copy of Oakland and Wascott available for next meeting.

Postings and Public hearings. Town clerk will post with agenda for Town Board Meetings. All meetings with NWRP will be held at the Town Hall. Work in progress meetings of the committee will be at ECE or the Town Hall.

Discussion regarding town maps available and road maps. Mark distributed copies of ECE detail of lines. Traffic flow counts were discussed. Results will be requested of Paul Halvorson by Roger.

SWOT analysis with 10 to 20 year projection with changes made to plan as needed.

Review of Weaknesses with addition of wetlands, access availability on Hwy. 35, DNR and County land ownership. Threats: laws regarding sewer systems. Access to developable tracts of land. Strengths: Road system and improvements for better emergency routes and communication travel. Tn has good North and South routes and East and West Routes. Volunteer fire dept., medical facilities in area, good secondary and higher education, access to U. S. by freeway system, Lake Superior.

These are in addition to the previous list to expand upon.

Next meeting – January 9, 2007 –1:00 at Superior Town Hall. Meeting adjourned at 2:45 p.m.
