Frederick L. Johnson has written extensively about Minnesota history including seven books and numerous magazine articles. He was an educator in St. Paul, Minnesota, before retiring and devoting time to historical research and writing. His 2008 book, Richfield: Minnesota’s Oldest Suburb, received the highest honor bestowed by the American Association of State and Local History.
