A lot of people ask us where in the world we got the name "Bog Creek". Darned if I have a
clue. We were just trying to find a name that fit with what we wanted to be playing, which was pretty much irish and
bluegrass. We spent many a long hour going thru name after name (It's a wonder any of our children got named before they were 18).
Eventually we hit upon Bog Creek. The Creek part sounded bluegrassy. There are hundreds of bluegrass bands out
there named "Something-or-other Creek, so that was good, and the Bog part, to us at least, sounded pretty Irish. Granted,
a lot of Irishmen out there will take offense at the thought of us here in the USA thinking of Ireland as being one big
bog, but there ARE bogs there, and a lot of people have heard of them. Besides, I'm irish, and I'm not offended. I
personally like a good bog, and have spent many a fine hour slogging about in wet stinky muck.
Once we got this fine name, Jeffrey, being an inquisitive little rascal, went online to see if "Bog Creek" would bring
