Uniform Info

The official scouting outfitter in Hudson is Art Doyle's Spokes and Pedals, on 2nd Street in downtown (?) Hudson. Art has a full line of uniforms, patches, neckerchiefs, woggles (slides), and scouting equipment. If he doesn't have it in stock, he can order anything in the Boy Scout catalog. In the winter time he carries a wide assortment of cross-country skis and snowshoes, and he's even been known to sell a bicycle or two!

The blue neckerchief is for boys working towards bear.  Wolf neckerchiefs are yellow, and Webelo neckerchiefs are plaid (go figure)
Neckerchief slides are limited only by your creativity and taste.

From the Bear Cub Scout Book:
"Now that you are a Cub Scout in the Bear program, you have a blue neckercheif to wear with your Cub Scout uniform.  Don't forget your cap; it's fun to wear!  If you don't wear your uniform to den and pack mettings, and on outings and special events, no one will be able to tell that you have earned all the badges on your uniform shirt.  Be proud to wear the Cub Scout uniform.  Did you know there are Cub Scouts all around the world?  You are a member of a large group of boys your age.

"There are year pins, temporary patches (such as the World Conservation Award), Summertime Pack Award pins, Quality Unit emblems, and lots of other awards you can earn and wear on your uniform.  (Ask your den leader to help you earn them and show you where each is worn.)"
