Angel in a Wheelchair

    Angels, I am told,   
have wings for speed;   
wheels serve you   
just as well, I think.   
   
At least you seem   
satisfied, as evidenced   
by dimpled grin and   
dancing eyes.   
   
Earthbound Angel-   
spreading love,   
embracing life   
in a fierce bear hug.   
   
Did God touch   
your cherub face   
and hold you close    
before He let you go?   
   
You fit so well   
within His hands,   
as though you've   
always been there.   
   
In four short years   
I've learned from you   
to walk in peace    
and stand in faith.   
   
You run your race   
with confidence,   
ambassador of joy-   
angel in a wheelchair.....

Mother   
    
There is a twinkle in your eyes   
the glow of joy   
this light shines bright   
at the thought of your little boy   
   
There is a symphony in your words   
when you speak of your son   
your over joyed when you speak   
of the things he has done   
   
There is a smile on your face   
that he puts there, its true   
he's so lucky   
to have a mother like you   
   
There is a glow about you   
with intense power   
your love for him grows greater   
with every passing hour   
   
You love your son   
to this i can attest   
and you only give him    
your very best   
   
He is your one true love   
with him you are content   
but  i must say   
"You and your son are both..."   
"Heaven sent"

              Rainbows

Rainbows would never be rainbows,
     If sunshine had never met rain.
No one would ever need comfort,
     If there were no sadness and pain.
But life holds both sunshine and shadows,
The days aren't all bright and fair---
So look through the showers for the rainbows
You 'll always find hope shining there....
