Rich Beem holds off Tiger Woods to win 2002 PGA Championship
CHASKA, Minn. (AP) - On a sunny August afternoon in 2002, history was made at the picturesque Hazeltine National Golf Club, located in beautiful Chaska, Minnesota.. On that day, Sunday, August 18, Rich Beem defeated Tiger Woods and captured the 2002 PGA Championship in a memorable event finish.
For those of us who were fortunate enough to have witnessed the event, the 84th PGA Championship was an exciting week of golf. The emotional ending on that sunny Sunday afternoon will be remembered for years to come. And now, you have the chance to own a bit of history from that day!
For several weeks leading up to the PGA Championship Tournament, these beautiful banners were hanging from street lamps throughout the historic river city of Chaska, Minnesota. Each banner is 60" tall by 18" wide (see the photo below). Click here to send an email for more information on purchasing this souvenir of the historic 84th PGA Championship.
