Policy/Procedure: TOURNAMENT FEES -- Policy X

  The AYHA will host hockey tournaments each year in order to bring other associations into our community and to raise money for funding arena operations.  The Association will also attempt to schedule a home tournament for each team within the Association every year.

It will also be the goal of the Association to submit a bid annually to the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association to host a WAHA State Tournament.

For home tournaments, it will be the responsibility of the Amery home team at the appropriate level to organize and work at the home tournament.

The AYHA Tournament Committee will be responsible for identifying the dates for all home tournaments except WAHA Regional and State tournaments, which are set by WAHA.

Tournament entry fees will be set each year by the Tournament Scheduling Committee and approved by the Hockey Board.  The approved fees are listed below:

Admission will be charged at home tournaments. Weekend fees are $10 for a family weekend pass or $5 for a single weekend pass.  Daily fees are $3 for an adult and $1 for a child (6-years through high school), children under 6 are free.  The tournament director for any WAHA Regional and State tournament we host will decide if admission fees will be charged and what amounts to charge.

The Chairperson of the AYHA Tournament Committee will be responsible for advertising home tournaments in “Let’s Play Hockey” newspaper.  Each home team hosting a tournament will also select a tournament director who will be the primary contact person for the tournament.

The AYHA Tournament Committee will be responsible for recommending tournament fees, pins and other items that will be provided to tournament participants.
