POLICY & PROCEDURE MANUAL

Policy/Procedure: REGISTRATION FEES -- Policy T

Approved:   September 2000; revised July 23, 2001; September 2002; June 2004; October 2005

It is one of the goals of the AYHA to keep registration fees as low as possible so that youngsters are not prevented from playing hockey due to cost.

Each year the AYHA will review the registration fees and determine the fees for the upcoming hockey season based upon the projected operating expenses and other income.

The current fee structures for AYHA Player Registration Fees are as follows:

 Family Maximum:

Ÿ        Families with 3 players receive a 15% discount for each player in the family.

Ÿ        Families with more than 3 players receive a 25% discount for each player in the family.  (To qualify for the family maximum discount, all players in the family MUST be registered and paid in full at the same time).

New players involved for the first time in organized hockey at the Peewee level or below will receive a 50% discount off the normal fee for that level.

For families who have first time hockey players, they have the choice of taking the 50% new player discount or the family max discount.

Returning families who register after a fundraiser for that season has been completed will be charged the appropriate buy out amount.

The Registrar, in conjunction with the Treasurer, has the authority to reduce the registration fee for a player by applying funds that have been donated or put aside to help the player/family who is not in a position to pay the full amount of the registration fee(s).

For High School players who make the Varsity team, the AYHA will forward $100.00 of the player’s normal registration fee (up to a maximum of 20 players) to the Blue Line Club and will retain the balance of the fee.  In cases where the family maximum is involved, for the High School player, the AYHA will forward $100.00 to the Blue Line Club for each High School Varsity player in the family and retain the balance of the fee.

All families are required to pay their registration fees or to make arrangements for payment of fees before the 1st organized team practice.  If money is due to the AYHA from the past season, players will not be allowed to register or participate in any AYHA activities until all fees or money past due is paid in full.

If for some reason a player is unable to play hockey and the AYHA Registrar is notified before team splits or before the first team practice, registration minus the USA insurance fee and any WAHA fees will be refunded.

Refunds due to medical reasons will be made as follows:
