It is the policy of the AYHA to pay individuals who provide referee services for
the hockey association. Referees will be paid on a pay scale approved by the AYHA
Board of Directors. This pay
scale may be revised per AYHA Board approval.
All referees are required to obtain and retain WHOA certification in
order to referee games.
The
referee scheduler appointed by the Board will be responsible for scheduling
referees for all home and tournament games.
Level
3 referees who agree on a monthly basis to officiate Mite and Squirt level
games will receive an additional $1.00 per game.
Referees
will be paid on a weekly basis during the hockey season.
The referee scheduler will be responsible for submitting weekly payment
requests to the Treasurer of the Hockey Association.
The Treasurer will prepare and distribute checks to individuals who
have provided services to the AYHA.
AYHA
pay rates are as follows:
Mite
Level = $22.00
Squirt
Level = $25.00
Peewee Level = $35.00
Bantam
Level = $40.00
During
tournaments at the higher levels of play a 3 man ref system will be used.
The pay rates are as follows:
Peewee
Level = Ref $30.00 and the Linesmen will receive $25.00
Bantam
Level = Ref $35.00 and the Linesmen will receive $30.00
