LEGUT SCHOLARSHIP FUND -- Policy L

In memory of John Legut, a long time member of the AYHA and a great supporter of
youth hockey, the AYHA established the John Legut Memorial Cup Alumni Game and
the John Legut Scholarship Fund.
The Alumni Game will be scheduled to be played during the Christmas school break in order
to give alumni from the AYHA the opportunity to play in the game.
Individuals playing in the game will be required to purchase a jersey for this event and
will also pay an entrance fee.
All of the profits received from the Alumni Game will be deposited in the John Legut
Scholarship Fund account.
Each year, the AYHA Legut Scholarship Committee will select a graduating senior form the AYHA
to receive a $500.00 scholarship in the memory of John Legut. The presentation of the scholarship will normally occur during the
Senior Awards Program at the H.S. of the player selected. All players who receive the Legut Scholarship Fund must be in good
standing with the AYHA.
