AMERY YOUTH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
POLICY & PROCEDURE MANUAL

Policy/Procedure: Work Policy -- Policy H  (Formerly policy AD)

Approved:  March 14, 2005  Revised July 13, 2006

Amery Youth Hockey depends solely on their members to successfully conduct all the necessary operations of the Amery Youth Hockey Association.  The following Work Policy has been put into place, to assure all necessary work is done and divided fairly among the members.

Team Managers will assign game work (penalty box, Zamboni, score box, weekly cleaning) to the team parents for their team’s games.  These hours are not credited towards the required work hours stated below.

All AYHA families will be given the choice of either working the required work hours or choosing the buy out option.  The buyout option is $6 per hour and must be paid at registration. By choosing the buyout option the family does not have to complete the required work hours, however they are still expected to work during their team’s games and team cleaning week.  A Refundable deposit check of $6 per hour based upon the Oct. 1st to April 31st required hours will be due at registration along with payment for those hours the family did not complete for the May 1st to Sept. 30th required time.  The deposit check will be held until April 31st and at that time the check will be returned if all the required hours have been completed.  If the family did not meet their required work hours, they will be asked to pay $6 per hour for the hours short or the check will be deposited on March 31st and a refund check issued for the difference.

Required work hours are per player:
